How much work does it TAKE To Increase PR? More Specifically I have a bunch of PR3 sites and i would like to know How many backlinks does one need to make it to a PR4? I know that maybe 1 backlink from a PR7 site with few outbounds might do it. But being more real, how many PR2 links does it take to make a PR3 site Jump to a PR4? PR2 to PR3? PR4 to PR5? There's a formula for everything, im sure at least one DP user has a chart or something.
You shouldn't concentrate too much on pr, it's becoming always less effective for seo. You should concentrate on on topic backlink, especially from good pages, and not from a link-only page. Obviously if you have many backlinks it's not bad, but I think you would need less good links to get the same result
This should help as far as your specific question is concerned: http://www.homeplugin.com/?p=4 CBN81 is sort of right though: getting quality links in your niche is a better goal than getting pr6.
It takes a lot of time. Well, at least 3 months until the next PR update Just work on building as much backlinks as possible and you will see some great results. Good luck!
i've been obsess with PR, now most of my website get PR4 and PR5 and i believe there is noway i can do now to move it to PR6, i got around 700 backlinks from many sources .edu domains, .org domains many other PR5 relateds website but still my PR still stuck with 5.
Well there was a nice post here on DP that was talking about the quality of backlinks from high PR sites. You should also consider (when getting a backlink) how many outbound links the site has. Of course a PR6 site with 200 outbound links will give you less PR juice than a PR6 site with 40 outbound links. Sometimes the market on link sales it runs quick, but the buyer needs some time to analyze the site from where he gets backlink, and the most mistake people make is they grab a link because the offer is cool without even checking the site from where they get the link from (or at least they just check the current PR).
if i were you, i dont care the page rank. i continue to build backlinks. pr is a result of pr. if you continue to build backlinks, pr will find you
Thank you. I guess i was just looking for a black and white answer (which probably doesn't exist) that says you need X amount of links at this PR to "graduate" to this PR. I am doing what i can to get more qual backlinks (now anyway), but i guess it would be nice to have a gauge..
I gues KH7 gave a good estimation in his article... So by his article my sites have to have about 915 inbounds on the low end to about 5K to make PR4. Which means i must be getting close on a couple of them.
I made a website which used a keyword density of 3% and when I submitted my website too google, I had a pr of 4 within a month. I personally believe that if you write articles which are keyword focused and update frequently (like say 5 to 6 articles a day) you should be able to bump up your pr. I have seen many websites which saw a jump in pr just because they updated frequently. So why not give it a try. Ofcourse for it to work you will have to have a content rich website. Even if you don't you can always add an article section to your website which contains articles which revolve around your subject. Good luck!
