Has a Muslim ever knocked on your door?

I have had Christians, Latter Day Saints (Mormons), and Seventh-day Adventists knock on my door trying to sell me their religion. I can't remember someone knocking on my door trying to sell me Islam. Is it just me?

I've never had a muslim do that but they have different methods of recruiting. I have had jehovah witnesses, christians, mormons etc, but i tell them all the same thing to get lost:D

Really? I'm here in the US and we get people all the time trying to sell something. Sometimes it is cookies, sometimes it is religion.

I've always found it slightly frightening if someone is trying to sell me their religion.

Jehovah witnesses do all the time. I close the door as soon as they open their mouths, but it's enough time for them to reveal that they haven't read Bible and have no clue what it says

How much are these religions selling for these days? Do they appreciate or depreciate? Can you buy their stocks?

It's funny you should say that, but I often speak to them too. There are lots of Mormons who come across to my sleepy old part of the UK to spread the word. Most people run a mile when they see them, but I quite like having a chat with them. The way I see it, if their faith means that much to them that they're prepared to travel across the Atlantic, at their own expense, to talk about it then they deserve a friendly and attentive reception.

Excellent point! People don't often go door-to-door in my neighborhood but there is a competition between Muslims and Witnesses handing on propaganda on the corner where I get my coffee every morning. I take a second to stop and chat when they're offering new literature - but I never take it home.

It never fails, nearly every month some random ass church decides to go tear down doors to recruit new members. It gets old...

Yep, lots of times, though it's either my one of my friends who I play rugby with and I invite him in for a beer (he's not exactly devout ;)) or my best friends girlfriend if she comes to see him when he's here. Neither of them has ever tried to convert me though ;)
