Freed Guantanamo inmates take up arms

Here ya go bet wetters, the "poor innocent people" in Guantanamo are taking arms up after they get released. But according to the libs, they're all just good wholesome muslims, not killers and warriors. Does it make you feel good to know these animals are back on the streets killing your fellow countrymen? I know it does, go ahead and admit it.

Not to defend anyone, but if I was held captive against my will without trial there is a good chance I might be inclined to take up arms against my captors.

You mean people wrongly held captive for years with no trial and being regularly tortured and humiliated are a bit pissed off? Well who would have thought?!?!

What was you expecting them to do?

I'm sure none of them were actually caught on the battlefield. These men were yanked out of the shopping malls and put there. Nice logic.

I'm not following your logic here. Are you saying they were all plucked from the battlefield, detained without trial for years then released?

What else would you call it?

You mean those that fight for this kind of freedom?

I resent the Army of Scum reference. I served in the US Army and I believe I served honorably. I do not consider myself scum and I do not consider the brave men and women in the US military scum. The current administration in the US is another story.

You are entitled to your opinion and if you consider me scum because I served in the Army you are entitled to that opinion. However, if you knew me or some of the people that I served with you might have a different opinion.

I would call it my opinion. I still have a right to my own opinion don't I?

I didn't question your opinion, I questioned the prefacing qualifier. Whom did your opinion sympathize with?

Are you speaking on behalf of the taliban?

    On a scale of 1 to 72 virgins, that's about a .5.

Freedom to kill soccer fans. Freedom to hide behind women and children. Freedom to use children as suicide bombers. Yeah, that ever so popular FREEDOM.

"If I was held captive against my will without trial there is a good chance I might be inclined to take up arms against my captors."

That does not mean I "sympathize" with any race, color or religion. If you must use the term "sympathize" then I "sympathize" for those that are held captive against their will without trial.

Nor did I mention race, color or religion.

So despite that many have returned to kill the people you once served with, you still sympathize with them?

Are you pretending to care about Muslim children, american hypocrite?

Lesley Stahl on U.S. sanctions against Iraq: We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that's more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?

Secretary of State Madeleine Albright: I think this is a very hard choice, but the price--we think the price is worth it.

    Again:

"If I was held captive against my will without trial there is a good chance I might be inclined to take up arms against my captors."

If you were held captive against your will and had no right to trial, would you be inclined to take up arms against your captors?

I don't consider myself an "enemy sympathizer" either, but I agree with WebdevHowto.. if I were locked up in such a manner, I think I'd be a bit upset after I got out as well.. as would anyone, regardless of their affiliations.

We weren't invited into Iraq or Afghanistan, so to be considered "invaders" by at least a portion of the populace is understandable. If an invading force came to the US to depose our president, I think Americans might react similarly.

I wouldn't have been participating in jihad for virgins in the first place. Did you say you were, or were not defending someone?

If I were a terrorist held captive without trial, tortured, humiliated and then released there's a slight chance that I'd pick up my weapon and fight again when I was released.

If I were an innocent held captive without trial, tortured, humiliated and then released there's a slight chance that I'd pick up a weapon and fight when I was released.

If a relative of me were held captive without trial, tortured, humiliated and then released there's a slight chance that I'd pick up a weapon and fight.

Only if I were an american I'd fail to see this coming.

Not pretending at all. Really what I'm doing, is watching you defend your bud's right to kill them in the name of "freedom." or is that "allah?"

Circumvented. Oil for food, oil vouchers. saddam didn't care about his people. He intentionally let them starve, while building luxury palaces for himself and his family. Your buddy also killed over a million of his own people and dumped them in mass graves.
