Sounds sane and sensible to me..

As for foreign sentiment toward the US, it most certainly does concern me.. after all, we're all on the same boat. It'd certainly be nice if we could all learn to pull the oars in the same direction. Or at least understand why not...

You are totally right, I was just surprised by your comment "I could not care less about the "world's opinion""

It is hard for me to understand how someone could not care about the "world's opinion" regarding the US. How are we to correct our compass if we don't look at how the world views us? To me it seems if we abandon "world opinion" we can easily travel down some very dark paths.

If you want to view me as your adversary that is up to you. When I come across people of a different opinion I try to use that as an opportunity to learn, not to judge.

I didn't mention you as my adversary, I mentioned myself being your adversary. Perhaps I could have written it better?

So you see yourself as being my adversary? Yes I am asking a question, no it is not a trap.

Sometimes, when posts are going fairly quick, there can be a browser cache problem where a user might miss an obvious post, necessitating a followup question. Was that the case here?

Well, cache your browser and answer the question.

I did. Thanks for confirming it wasn't a browser cache problem. I figured it wasn't, but thought I'd give you the benefit of the doubt. I suppose that's what I get for assuming an "honest" mistake.

So what other ways do you sympathize with terrorists?

So you are calling me a terrorist sympathizer now? Just to be clear, because there was a "cache" issue, do you consider me your adversary? Or do you think I consider you my adversary? Or both?

I asked a question (albeit, from a discussion in another thread):

So what other ways do you sympathize with terrorists?

Did you not want to answer it?

So you avoid my simple question and ask me a loaded question that is pretty insulting. Come on, let's keep this above board and learn something from each other. I don't disrespect you and I would hope you can return the favor. If you have a problem with my question, then say so and let me know why, don't ask me "what other ways do you sympathize with terrorists?".

You know I am a veteran that has served our country and you know that type of question is going to make me angry, but I'm not going to respond to that with anger. That won't benefit anyone. I am more than happy to discuss politics with you, but these sort of responses are unwarranted.

I was merely following up with a discussion in another thread regarding terrorists detained at Gitmo, where you openly noted:

I'll try to be more sensitive to those whom you sympathize with.

    Back to the topic.
Yes, a new government can change the worlds view on USA. But not a republican government.

And what are you tempted to say when they ask your citizenship? will you tell them that you're Canadian just to have not to deal with all the anti-american sentiment this administration has created?

Quite frankly I'm not American, nor I approve everything Bush administration has done. But I'd find it extremely silly if an American is tempted to avoid showing his citizenship just to not have to deal with anti-American (if any) sentiments......
