When you're in Costa Rica and you're Gringo, and you go anywhere, girls are all over you. It's awesome. Unless the girls in India are like that, I'm not leaving this place.

You guys live in San Jose right? I'd like to get my hands on a cell phone that works in Belize, Brazil, Panima & Costa Rica. I found a phone that works in belize from a company that even has an affiliate program - but it doesn't have coverage in Costa Rica! shoots. Any ideas blogmaster?
I will ask one of my friends who sells ready to go Costa Rica corporations and phone lines, he may be able to answer you. Can you PM me your email? I will have him email you. Mike
Mike you got your account back! That hacker needs a good spankin' So I got the phone thing sorted out. I just picked up a phone from AT & T which has most of Nicoya blanketed with celli service all the way down to Mai Pais. Glad to see you back and posting again. Thanks for your help.
You're marketing an online pimp game in your sig, from that post it looks like you're up for an offline one too IT
In Belize now through the first part of September... Heading back to the Guancaste area prolly in January. Wish it was sooner but I need to be in the states for the Q4 holiday shopping madness. Cyber monday is starting to become my favorite holiday
I guess it beats Thailand How is the Internet down there in Thailand the internet is not that good yet out on the beaches
same here, many of the beach areas are only on dial up. San Jose has everything, so do cities like Cobano. You can live by the beach, but in order to get some high speed action, you may have to drive for 30 minutes.
Mike how long do you think its going to be before they have the pacific coast of Costa Rica wired? A few months ago when I was there parts of Nicoya had the copper running in the ground but it wasn't live yet??? I even met a few business owners that had to pay early to get the wires running to their businesses in playa negra, again the wires were there, but no dsl. One fella said he was just waiting to be " turned on " - he paid for the wire to run to his business, they hooked it up, but still no juice. Hope they get that sorted out soon.
Yes, some businesses and homes do get satellite internet. It takes a long time to get it though. So does getting a phoneline, a corporation, everything is really slow down here. I estimate another 3 years TBH. Yes, the copper may be running thru the ground, but there is no sense of urgency to get things done. For example: Santa Teresa, one of the best surf spots on earth with tons of tourists and celebs hanging out doesn't even have water coming in other than on the water trucks. And the roads there are so full of potholes, cars get damaged all the time. Once things will be up to date, the area will be even better. but it can take time, a lot of it.
i gotta check it out some day , it sounds like the exact kind of place i want to live at. thanks for sharing your view.
I will add some pictures soon. I have to add that Costa Rica has something for everyone. It has perfect honeymoon spots, hippy towns, yuppie type party places. Whatever floats your boat, you will find it in Costa Rica.
