    Hello,
This is a carry on from this thread.

    URL: SurfAgent.info

The site got over 237,000 unique visitors last month, and so far this month has received about 180,000 unique visitors.

I am selling rotating banner space (468x60) on the homepage for $15 per month (prices will change from month to month but you will be notified).

Got nothing better than Awstats? Awstats is VERY misleading when it comes to proxies. I have proxies which get around 25,000 uniques per day according to Awstats, but I realized that it actually gets only around 5000 uniques when I put Analytics on it.

Lol, 8000 uniques in Awstats will approximately be equal to 1-2K actual unique visitors. Can you install Analytics and show me the stats from there? If it really gets that many visitors, I'll buy 5 banner for $50 each.

actually google analytics is the one thats inaccurate. It always shows a smaller amount of visitors for any website not just proxies.

Yes, google analytics is very inaccurate I find as it also relies on javascript being enabled in the browser.
I dont have anything other than awstats unfortunately.
If you want a spot let me know. I see very little point in debating this subject any more as I have nothing more to say.

Don't go by what other users "agree" with. Use the facts. There are many reasons why the stats differ so much.

Awstats uses raw server access logs to generate the reports. This includes all hits including bots. The only time a visit wont be recorded is when a user returns to a page later and its loaded from the browser cache.

Google Analytics uses javascript. There are many reasons why hits wont be recorded with javascript. Some of these reasons include users having javascript disabled in browser, programs like norton internet security blocking it, user visits a page and it takes too long to load so they close the browser before the javascript is executed, also bots cannot execute javascript.

I use awstats and analytics both because with analytics I can get a better view of how users browse my website but for traffic estimations, awstats is pretty accurate just subtract the bot visits.

papa_face: I am interested in buying a banner or two. Please pm me the details.
