I was wondering if asking for reputation or hinting it outside the b/s/t area is allowed. Cause if it isn't there are still a lot of people doing it. You can find them easily by doing this.

Click search, click show posts bubble, and search for "green appreciated"

 

I've just checked some posts and some people who have being here for a while and should know the rules, with lots of posts are asking for reps.
As this is a very busy forum, we can't expect mods to see every rule break. Just report the people asking for rep.

 

use the report post icon to bring the post to a mods attention.

 

I have already been reporting as soon as I see them but can a staff member confirm my question?

 

There's no specific rule against it outside of the BST area.

However, there are cases where a person will receive an infraction for doing so. It really depends on the situation. And if it gets out of hand, the person might be banned.

Basically, just don't do it....

you'll find that when people ask for green, they get other members hitting them with lots of red.

 

Well, never ask for green rep.

Also, when you think its abuse, contact a mod directly to resolve your concern.
