PR and lniks

    if i have text on a site say www.blah.com but the text is not a link will my Pr increase or just form backlinks or?

    No, it must be linked (and preferably, with anchor text containing your keywords).

    how do you have text without a link? Wouldnt that just be like all the other site content?

    Yes, it should be a link. It does not count when it is a plain text only.

    pr will only increase with live links . the example that you give will not effect the page rank or serp

    Just like eveyone have said. It should be a hyperlink preferably with anchor text without no-follow code on it.
