I had the BC expansion, played.. oh a couple weeks with it. It didn't really feel like it added that much new content for as long as they worked on it. I thought there would be so much more. It's funny though, the Blood Elf populations on the new servers released after the expansion was pretty interesting.. the BE's dominated the servers in comparison to the rest of the populations. I'm not sure how it is now though, it's been a while since I played. Warhammer does look like it's going to be a good game. It's not really like WoW per say, since it's built from the ground up with RvR in mind (which WoW wasn't until later beta). Just have to wait and see what it's going to be like.
I've played the majority of MMO's on the market today, although a lot less regularly over the last year or so - even when i'm not playing I still have to keep a finger in that particular pie as my main project is an internet radio station for MMORPG players
I never played one yet. I never had the connection and I would never waste money on such a game with monthly fees. Plus I've heard many stories of people going nuts over stuff like WoW.
I think that people who have issues with being addicted to online gaming, probably have some sort of addictive personality to begin with. There's some people I know that only play a few hours a week, and others that I used to know that played 24/7. I think just as long as a person is aware that online gaming addiction is actually a real issue before starting to play a MMO, that it shouldn't be that much of a problem IMO.
I've played a few and some are better then others. It'd be nice to find one that was really interesting but didn't require you to devote your life to it.
Well, you might want to try EVE Online then. You can build up your character even without being online, but it just takes a while. From all the people I've talked to, that's the best game for the casual gamer who only plays a few hours per week.
I've tried some of them... And yes, they are really addictive. Sometimes I just make those games as an entertainment or an outlet...
I've played several and i'm always looking for good ones (free ones are the best). I've played runescape back when it was 2D, ragnarok, dark ages, and most recently maplestory. Great thing to play when you don't feel like getting wrapped up in a massive storyline.
I just played it with a friend for a bit of fun, i've never played a mmorpg long enough to get to a really high lvl.
Honestly, I cannot keep track of the total amount of MMORPGs played. I guess I went through a phase where I only played online games..
I see. There are tons of free private lineage2 servers with high exp rates. By the way, witch server did you play ? official or private?
The more games played the better . Thats my theory anyways, it's always fun to play with other people but it's easy to forget that they are real people your playing with.
Got a healer lvl 73 on teon official server wich i quit long time ago to play on a private server. Got hero status there 3 subclasses 2 of them are 78 and 1 is only 5x . 4x rates >,< i admit i'm a mmorpg junky
It's hard not to get addicted to some of those mmorpg's out there, I tend to play for hours on end when I start playing a new one.
