QuikStox allows you to quickly receive the latest stock market information. It is a custom built AJAX powered stock market search engine. You can do ticker symbol search as you type, get chart data, and look up company information.

    Ticker Data Search
When you go to quikstox.com you are taken to the ticker data search. This allows you to quickly look up information on any stock that you have in your portfolio. While the market is open this data is LIVE. It is gathered from several different resources. If you're searching for more than one stock in your portfolio, you can place the stock you searched for in the "Recent Stocks" on the right and continue to search for your next stock. This is all AJAX powered so you never have to leave the page. You can also get a chart for the stock you're looking for and there's even a small javascript code you can put on your site/blog to embed the chart into it :)

    Charts
Charts come hand in hand with the Stock Market. You can look up charts for any stock and you'll also find that our chart data is live. You also have the ability to embed these charts into your site/blog. When you embed them the data will show live and update with each reload of the page.

    Find Ticker
If you're looking for a stock, but you're not quite sure what the ticker symbol is, you can head over to our Find Company Ticker page and do a search-as-you-type on it as well. Just start typing in the company name (ex: micro) and we'll find the company that you're looking for. The data for this search is gathered from the ticker search on the main page.

QuikStox is custom designed using CSS and HTML. I've coded everything myself (custom) PHP and MySQL. This is a unique script that only the owner of the site will have rights to.

Where exactly does the data come from? Also which exchanges does it cover - just NYSE or others as well?

I will go 45 if it helps with the Indian NSE and BSE. Also, where does the live data come from? Can this be used in any exchange?

There are an UNLIMITED amount of companies in the database. It grabs the data from several different online sources. It basically "scrapes" the data. You don't ever have to add anything to a database.

The data comes from several different online sources. You would have to check to see which exchanges it covers. I'm not even sure what ones the sources I've used have data for. Just search for a company within the exchange you're looking for and you'll know if it's there or not by if it brings you back any data.

You can change the script to grab the data from different websites for different exchanges, but I think the way it's setup right now should grab from almost all exchanges.

You are currently the high bidder.

    I haven't set a BIN yet. I'm thinking around $300. It's a custom script/design :)

    High bid is currently $45

Can't be unlimited - I can't find a quote for PGT Industries (ticker symbol PGTI; exchange: NASD). Can you please elaborate about the # of companies it's possible to pull up?

    Thanks.

55$ from me if you can modify the script for a minor requirement! I want to keep track of some stocks for my own use, but most services do not let me do that. So a page where you can create a custom list of stocks to watch out, with auto refresh.

If this is not possible, my bid is withdrawn.

The site does not appear to be working. I cannot pull up information for any stocks from the homepage. The charts seem to work correctly for all the tickers I checked. Too many companies are missing from the find ticker database.

Would it be possible to fix the site. I can bid once it works for all US stocks and I receive some clarification as to where you are pulling the data from.

    Thanks,

As I've said a couple times already, the data is grabbed from several different sources. These include Google/Yahoo Finance and MSN Money. I'm not sure why that one stock is not working, but with some modifications it could be made to work as well.

I could add that, but we would have to discuss it after you won the site with your bid of $55. I could not sell the site and make you a new custom script for $55.
The data is grabbed from different sources and I find it hard to believe that it won't find the ones you are looking for. One problem might be if you're using IE. There is a cache but I am aware of (not that you've posted that it has come to mind that might be the problem). I will fix this right away and PM you to confirm that it will work.

"Too many companies are missing from the find ticker database."
The companies are added to that as they are found. There's not much I can do about that...

The high bid I believe is $50. I'll set a BIN of $125. I want to sell the site so I can use the money for different projects and I believe it's well worth your $125. The auction will end in two days at 8:00PM CST. I am putting a reserve of $75 on it. If I don't get at least a $75 bid I'm keeping it :)

Thanks and feel free to ask any other questions I haven't covered.

I'm not sure why you're having trouble with it. It may take a few moments to load for you. I got the stocks fine:
