Youtube down now?

    Well... the strange thing is that i dont see any reason why... I never surf on youtube, but just today I want to see a new musicvideo. Must be some routing problems i guess here in the netherlands

    i keep getting a load of server internal error messages from them recently

    not sure if they are developing stuff and testing the new releases or what

    Youtube is so big they probably have multiple datacenters across the world - it's possible the datacenter closest to you is having difficulties but the rest are fine.

    Yes, I'm pretty certain a website worth $1,650,000,000 (probably more now) is going to spread itself over more than one location.

    What does "kicking properly here" mean?

    Obviously seems to be working fine for most folks.

    As Norfstar mentioned, they have multiple locations around to house their data. If one went out, even momentarily, would the others pick up the slack or would the site actually go down for a certain geographic area?
