I saw this article. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article2146562.ece Does it show cats 6th sense? Dogs are supposed to have this sense too. Some societies consider their howling as the signal of impending death. Is it due to their ability to detect/see/smell/hear/feel frequencies beyond human range? What do you all think?
interesting, I dunno what to think. I think I probably agree with the first poster in the article - that the cat can smell some sort of chemical change or something
most social animals, those the move in packs and usual contain a dominate (alpha) leader often release phermones from their anal glands as a source os self-defense. the alpha would probably attack, but if the others were on their own...they's release this repulsive phermone and con the predaor into believing the meat inside that animal is tainted and unappetizing. good stuff....i have a dog. she gets scarred fro time to time.. it stinks!
about those dogs howling, our dog was blamed by the death of my baby brother, the next morning, they killed the dog. I can't blame them because they kinda believed a bit in supertitions.
Some thing similar happened with me a while back. Probably 20 years back. We didn't kill the dog though.
