MSN vs Yahoo PPC?

Currently i am using classified ads ,penny savers and MSN PPC as my 3 primary ways of marketing.

For those who have tried Yahoo PPC and MSN ,is there a difference between the two. Does Yahoo offer more traffic? With MSN ,i have a hard time just getting 20 clicks per day at times.

Is there a big difference in traffic. I was promoting psp websites on MSN and averaged about 20 clicks per day. I want to be able to get up to 100 clicks or more.

MSN probably gets about 20% of the traffic of Yahoo. But, Yahoo usually converts less than MSN. Yahoo also has .10 min on clicks.

So MSN gets less traffic ,but converts better and is cheaper.

The conversions have gone well for me ,but i dont get enough clicks. Im going to sign up with Yahoo later on today. Just use both MSN and Yahoo.

Yahoo will give you more traffic. I get better conversion from MSN, though. Here are my conversion numbers:

    MSN: 3.18%
    Yahoo: 1.67%

FYI, Ask beats both of them, and Google is the worst of the four. Different campaigns do differently on each engine, though.

To be honest B-Scott, YSM has a ton more traffic than MSN. However The conversion data is another story. It all depends on what you are offering, your ad copy and your landing page. YSM converts well if your ad copy and landing page conveys the write message. MSN also converts but it depends on your product and or service. Less eyeballs are seeing your ad with MSN, the inventory is just not there. I spoke with higher up in MSN and they are working on getting that traffick. Personally from managing many YSM accounts, I would stick with YSM first but you must optimize the account. I hope that Helps.

    Cheers,

A lot of the YSM traffic is poor quality contextual.

Again it can be poor quality. It all depends on what you are promoting.

I agree. Some ppc campaigns work with yahoo, others are crap. I always test my campaigns n google first before expanding it to other PPC programs but it's not a reliable indicator that the success will translate over.
