Why does your dog bark?

My dog barks at everything that moves in the night. He also sleeps right under my window, so I know every time when something is moving outside. Oh, I forgot to mention I have three dogs, but Molly is the leader. When she barks everyone does, even the neighbor's dog.

funny you ask, my dog barks at people walking by or at noise he hear. just territorial i guses.

 

I don't have a dog but my neighbors dog barks at me whenver I come home from work. It must not like me very much

 

well i can say why my stupid neighbors dog barks all day long. Because he is CRAZY!!!

 

I just did a bit of research on this last month. Why do dogs bark? I have 3 and sometimes its like a freakin' canine symphony in my backyard. I've found that territorial or protective defense are the most common reasons why most dogs bark. Distress vocalizations due to fear or separation anxiety excitement or greeting during play is another reason. A dog that NEEDS attention may bark or one that is frustrated. My dogs bark at others down the street that are barking. And lastly some dogs bark out of compulsivness due to personality.

ugggg! my old city was really small and was full of dogs. if one dog started barking, the hole city went off. it was like a alarm! so annoying

why cat meow? Good question. That is the sound they produce and it's a way of conversation between these animals.

 

At night my dog will keep me up barking sometimes to 3 am in the morning because we have possums in the backyard. He's alway's trying to get up the tree to get at them.

my dog max , barks at noises outside the house or whenever someone comes to the door , but the best barking he does is when i say the words ASSHOLE - he goes totally ballistic he can be sleeping in his bed/snoring like an old man , but as soon as i say asshole he jumps up and barks like crazy , strnage but true
