If any one has skills abt this then he cannot be jobless.

It has to be the price.

We have customers who have paid $xxx monthly. And still no results it has to be more skill that indians have tht attract them.

Probably 90% of Indians make less than that a month, especially in villages. They could live on that money as living expenses are really low in villages. In cities that would be hard to survive on. Especially if you have a family to support.

I am guessing the indian ecomony is driving up prices to match USA prices for work, As house prices in india rise etc people will command better wages,

This could be bad news for india as people will just use the country that they live in to do the business, I dont think there would be a point outsourceing if the work costs the same?

In Australia A lot of companies have relocated to India, and just about every call center is now located in India. One reason for this apart from the cost savings is to avoid a law that prohibits cold calling or spam calls.
It's a bloody good law but not really effective as it only applies to calles originating in Australia.
Now hardy a day goes by that I don't receive a call fom someone in India trying to give me something for nothing lol.
And I can say that the most times Its a real effort to understand what the caller is saying.
Same goes for the help centers, it's rare for an Australian to bother calling them now as no one can understand what the other person is saying.
I actually think the companies encourage that, it lowers the costs even more.

Those are under-training employees or students who are employed in Inbound call centres. For most it's pocket money.

The average salary for CC employees is good enough and it's even a known fact that foreign graduates leave high paying jobs to work in Indian call centres. (Link)

For one, many of you have to understand that Indians directly or indirectly save you a lot of money. India has experienced a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) boom and just a call centre boom.

Indians even are engaged in Medical BPO which includes transcribing medical records (Clinic and offices notes, operative reports, discharge summaries, Psychiatric evaluations, X- ray reports, Laboratory reports, History and Physical reports, and pathology reports, etc.) dictated by the doctors and other health care professionals.

So if your hospital had to hire a complete set of staff to do this, they'd end up paying thousands of dollars/pounds to them. And then recover these expenses from you.

And it's this call centre crowd, that rights the latest bike, has the funkiest ipod (or any other music player for that matter) and the latest designer dress that holds a Brand.

So yeh, as someone mentioned. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The world functions as one big economy, and everyone benefits if someone prospers.

Its not costing the same. $125 a month work in India will cost at least $1600 a month in US.

I don't have the #s to back this up, but I would imagine India has the most english speaking citizens in Asia.

Something many people may not realize, is that there is a move to promote industry and growth in LCCs. Low Cost Countries.

The reasoning is that these are emerging markets, and by building the economy, increasing affluence etc., global corporations are creating new markets with their own workforces.

Not unlike how North American auto workers typically support the Big 3 by buying domestic, regardless of cost or measurable utility.

I think it's sick personally, not really the indian's fault, but the economy needs to equalize in currency compaired to other countries. So many non indians lose jobs, because of india working so cheap. It's so hard to make ends meat on the internet when someone can do it for half the price.

    Good point.
Competition is healthy for many people, plus...

    Well...

...they have one of the fastest growing economies in the world.
    • People in India are quickly getting more education, and...
    • ...many of them want to work hard.

    BTW:
    • For some savvy traders India is a true GoldMine

Trust me it's just not in the UK. I had to call a cell phone company about a prepaid code and the call center was in India. I couldn't understand a word the woman was saying. I just hung up in disgust.
