    Alexa rank is USELESS - traffic is really the only stat you need to worry about.

    Hi,

    I have found Alexa moderately useful, along with Quantcast. I don't try to game the stats at all. I just follow the trend, understanding that the absolute numbers are not very meaningful. It does give me some idea of how I am doing relative to other sites, though I do also understand that there are sites that do very well because they are being gamed. It is just another piece of information. Google Analytics are probably my most reliable tool.

    You can have a PR5, but if you don't have traffic that's nothing. PR5 is only good if traffic is coming.

    Congrats on the PR. You can start selling links rather than buying them now :D Alexa traffic rank is real stupid, so I wouldn't worry about that. Infact its more worthless (worthlesser ??) than PR :D

    Your PR has little to do with traffic at this level. You might have little links with keywords that would generate good traffic. 76 links ain't much so keep it up. The keywords you have while having a high pr will help get you listed high with the keywords...

    how can you get so many good quality backlinks? If you've good PR but no traffic, it's useless. Selling links maybe can earn you money right now but maybe not anymore in the future.

    The PR his talking about is Google PR. You get PR from backlinks.
    The traffic rank his talking about is Alexa Rank. It only measures traffic from visitors that have the Alexa toolbar installed.
