Thanks for the submission. The part I like the best is the .COM.AU It looks like it has a font that is easy to read, which in my case is very important. Not just easy to read but very bold.

Now the other part: the red you used is not red enough but more towards pink. It is still red but the way it fades makes it harder to read. Perhaps you used that to stylize the logo, however that is happening at the expense of the visibility which in my case is more importnat than style. It's hard to say because if you follow the .COM.AU pattern I think it will look highly visible which is my main priority. However, at the same time there are other great designs the guys have already submitted which are highly visible and that is what makes so hard to choose.

Thanks for the submission. It's a nice try and I can see some potential in you. I noticed you are new at this so you have to understand that part of being a designer is being able to cope with feedback (feedback sounds better than criticism even though it's the same thing).

One thing you overlooked is my main requirement which was a wide/bold font that's simple and easy to read. The main colours were meant to be red and white. A third colour would have to be very subtle, which in your logo the black is too much. Changing the dots on the i is a nice twist but overall it's a weak design. Again, I was after something bolder looking.

Generally we go by US time on here I think mate, so i think they are 15 hours behind or so. So if you pick one on Friday morning (yours) then that'll be fair to everyone I reckon.

Hi PD, I think EST will be a safe choice for a timezone :).... just my opinion though. Sometimes it doesnt follow, as long as you're going to choose a winner on or around that time it will be fine -- some CH even allow 48 hours for themselves after contest closure to select a winner. :)

Thanks for the advice guys. You have no idea how tough you made this for me :) I certainly have plenty to choose from, very professional designs. This morning around 5 a.m. I could not sleep thinking which logo to choose. I am not joking, I am being very serious. It's not so much the cost of the logo but the influence it will have on my business. Everything else will have to be designed based on the logo so it's a very, very important decision for me. I am not surprised some CH even allow 48 hours for themselves after the end of contest to choose the winner. It may be frustrating waiting to see who won, but believe me, it's not nearly as frustrating as it is for me. So many cool designs, each with certain advantages over others and yet ONE only has to be picked.

So I will wait until Friday morning my time (which is about 24 hours from this post) to let you know of my decision.

hello demonhale: thanks for the new submission. Both my wife and son were surprised I did not consider your first submissions. While the first ones were great from a design point of view, they didn't meet my requirements (wide/bold font).

This is a better try but somehow not up to par with other submissions. You've definitely increased the font and you simplified it, but it's still not what I am after.

Do you have to make things more difficult for me??? :) This second design looks really, really good. I especially like the word direct. The second last one you did I didn't like the font. But this new one, looks really good.

I am getting the feeling you guys got the idea of what I want and that's what makes it even more difficult to choose. Each design has some great and unique features and it makes it very hard to decide the winner.
I may have to do it the bodybuilding way. After all, I do sell to bodybuilders. What they do sometimes at a bodybuilding show when they can't tell them apart, they look at them and they start to pick faults. And the one with least amount of faults is the winner. The problem here in the design field is that these "faults" can be corrected unlike a bodybuilder. You can't tell a bodybuilder: "You go and work on your back a little more" or "You go and do a few more bench presses." You can tell I am losing it. Good thing I paid Jamess in advance (he will pass the money to the winner). If I can't make up my mind (although I have several clear front runners) I'll get him to choose the winner on my behalf.

I just wana say on behalf of all the designers on dp, what a great contest this has been. ProteinDude you've been involved with this thread more than i've ever seen a contest holder, and you give in depth feedback which is great for us as designers:cool:
