digg sold?

    someone posted on another forum about digg being sold to Microsoft? is it true? I know they were using msn ads, but anyone can use them.. it just made me wonder? *is confused* :confused:

    Well, there is a news at yahoo's site about that :

    Digg fires Google for online ads

    Maybe they will not use Google's ads from now, Microsoft will deliver their ads from now.

    I don't really see why Microsoft would buy it anyway. Its not relative to any of the work they do.

    Tech savvy peoples are key market to Microsoft and over 90% digg visitors are tech savvy.

    NO MSN did NOT buy DIGG. They TOOK OVER the advertising being served on the site from google. The ads will be from msn network and not google adwords anymore :) Digg is still owned by the same people

    Wow you're telling me a multimillion dollar advertising campaign is not shut off after 1 whole day? Thats crazy.

    The point is microsoft offered a better percentage probably to the digg owners. Hence why they switched.

    I can still see google ads, so I guess the deal on on till this month end?

    And one more change I see in digg is that headline directly takes you to the main site, not to DIGG/APPLE_SUES_MSFT anymore .. I don't think it was always this way eh?
