I read somewhere that yahoo is going to make huge changes in their search marketing programs and they are going to make it similar to adwords. May be they have started the changes.

I guess the old saying is true, if you can't beat them join them, or in yahoo's case copy them.

Agree with you there. Every Yahoo search page has their logo listed and it is very odd that this one doesn't. Yahoo allows yout to personalize your search results - perhaps this is something like that?

BTW, for you AOL & Google FanBoys, don't forget classics like:
Google Copies IE7 Promo Material From Yahoo
AOL Beta launches, blatant rip-off of Yahoo
Google AdWords Copying Yahoo Panama Interface?

Copying is done by all sides in some respect or another. Sometimes it works , good example is how Yahoo Answers trounced Google Answers, Other times it doesn't - Google's Froggle, Gtalk, and maybe Google Checkout

Profound words for a 1st poster. Wow, just wow - any further statements of knowledge you'd like to share? We know you are right, cause you said so. No need to read any other posts before yours, no need to quote examples, links, etc.

In Clasione's image it looks like pay per clicks are only on the right side, not horizontal on top of the search results? Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

Actually, guys, it's not a "Google rip off" at all. The point of the new interface is to show a new feature of Yahoo called Search Assist.

If you want to read more, Danny Sullivan wrote a very interesting piece on the features (with a screencast) on Search Engine Land.

Eventually they'll realize that copying Google isn't the way to get ahead of Google. Innovation is.
