Bush On 9/11: There's One Terrible Pilot

I just saw this quoted on Reddit and thought I'd post it here for those who may have missed it. From whitehouse.gov (Dec. 2001):

Q One thing, Mr. President, is that you have no idea how much you've done for this country. And another thing is that, how did you feel when you heard about the terrorist attack? (Applause.)

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you, Jordan. Well, Jordan, you're not going to believe what state I was in when I heard about the terrorist attack. I was in Florida. And my Chief of Staff, Andy Card -- actually, I was in a classroom talking about a reading program that works. I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on. And I used to fly, myself, and I said, well, there's one terrible pilot. I said, it must have been a horrible accident.

But I was whisked off there, I didn't have much time to think about it. And I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my Chief of Staff, who is sitting over here, walked in and said, "A second plane has hit the tower, America is under attack."

And, Jordan, I wasn't sure what to think at first. You know, I grew up in a period of time where the idea of America being under attack never entered my mind -- just like your Daddy's and Mother's mind probably. And I started thinking hard in that very brief period of time about what it meant to be under attack. I knew that when I got all of the facts that we were under attack, there would be hell to pay for attacking America. (Applause.)

Very sad about those that died as a result of the attacks on the Twin Towers. But waht does Bush do? He goes and kills 1 million Iraqis and all the unaccounted for in Afghanistan in distasteful revenge.

    The source for this is:

As for the dishonest claim by qwest, there is no source for the propaganda.

As soon as the twin towers happened, there was no stopping Bush. Someone somewhere had to pay for it. Sadly, Iraq and Afghanistan were the most convenient targets.

Thank you for confirming you have no source and just made up the numbers. Perhaps next time, your "brethren" will think twice about attack my (not your) country.

Some idiot will probably say how could Bush not know that the plane would destroy the tower and how could he not know that it was an attack from the start. The same person will probably post the photoshopped upside-down book reading and claim that was where he was when it happened.

The biggest fools will be those who with what they know now would assume they knew right away what was happening and say he was a fool for not responding immediately to go after the other planes.

No one ever claimed he did. Do you just sort of make it up as you go along?

Nice work with the [sic] GTech you're a real hero. Have you ever thought that the guy's first language might not be English?

The thing is that people can see you here in P&R for being a smartass that copys and pastes the same rhetoprick [sic] day after day after day. :)

You are a "one trick pony" and people are beginning to see that too.

Thanks, but I'd prefer if you just kept alex jones and osama bin laden as your heros. I'm not really interested in being associated with you, considering who you openly support here.

    Cheerio ;)

Sorry GTech, Osama is a CIA creation and I don't support him. As for Jones then I agree with a lot of what he says but I get info from all over the place, you just use the Jones angle when you are running out of ideas, which you seem to be doing a lot of these days. :(

There was a time when I used to look at you as a hero for the sheeple, now I think it is time that you hang your Bill O'Reilly duffel bag up and let one of the young spunkers take full control as crazy gang leader.

This is good sound advice from ya Unca AGS and will save you embarrassing yourself in future.

I'm only trying to help. :)

Thanks for the link.. as Snopes points out, even if the photo "had" been real, it could easily have been an inadvertent accident that could happen to anyone.

The irony of it all is that even if it were true and he did have the book upside down it still would not surprise us at all, such is the reputation the American President has for being a bit of a dopy twat. :D
