I need to get in bed (it's just gone past midnight down under). I am honestly overwhelmed by the entries and the talent shown. These are not compliments but facts.
Thanks heaps guys. I want to end this on Thursday otherwise I'll get a headache. Actually I already have one. My head is already spinning: "This logo is so simple and to the point." "This logo has more style but is less visible" "This seems like such a simple idea and yet very effective" "This one on the other hand is really outstanding, but maybe a bit complex" "What if I choose the more stylish one and then lose on the visibility?"
But at the end of it all, this is a great problem to have. So tonight it's not just my wife that's having a headache, but this is a great headache to have. Thanks again guys.

I have added ".com.au" to my first logo and the second is a new version with full dot circle. :)

Speno, so you're more than a designer :) You seem to know about whey powder/whey protein. Both whey powders and whey proteins are a byproduct of the cheese making process. The difference is whey powder has almost no protein at all (as low as 2-3%) while whey protein can have up to 90% protein. There are also different types of whey proteins: whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate, hydrolysed whey protein, whey peptides, etc, etc. Your head spinning yet? Good. That's how I feel about choosing a logo.

This is more what I am talking about jamess. You now got the idea. Your other designs were also great but they weren't matching my needs. This one's really neat.

Thanks Istvan for the changes. I am still considering it but I must be honest and say the competition is also getting tougher.

This last one's my favorite of all your entries. You are a bit like wine. You get better with time. Looks really really good. Very easy to read and very, very visible.

Mate, I know I sound like a broken record but your avatar really cracks me up (no matter how many times I see it) :)

You've done some great designs in the past and you are a great designer. I must thank you for entering this competition, but this design is a bit too complex for me. It looks good but I was after something simpler and easier to read.

Hi tomeek. Your entry is the one I am considering the most. Not sure it's the best but it's the one I am considering the most if this makes any sense. It is very, very easy to read, it is red and white, it has a wide bold font and yet, there are still some other great ones.

I think that what I really like about it is you can place it anywhere and it's still easy to read without modifying it. But then again, so are several other logos.

Let me tell you what does it for me (even though I honestly don't have a clear winner): you made the logo smaller and placed it in the right hand corner. Even though it is so small and in a corner it's still so easy to read. Most likely that would be the size of my logo on a competition poster.

    Some great logos :)

Here's mine with the smaller version too (the .com.au not too visible i notice, although in print would be clearer) :

EDIT : I had a go at making the '.com.au' part more visible when small :

Yours is one I am certainly considering. Looks highly visible and you can easily place it on anything and it will still be seen. Regarding the .com.au: it's obvious it cannot be made to look as visible as the protein direct words, however the protein direct is the most important part which your logo is achieving. And again I have to agree with you: Some great logos :)

Thought I'd have a go :) - The scoop shape comes from the scoop you get inside most protein tubs. I stuck to simple boldness, staying away from the craze of web 2.0 - Feedback appreciated :)

Thanks for the submission ASM. Using the scoop is a great idea and yes all protein powders come with scoops. However, the thing I was after the most was visibility, which seems to be achieved by putting the focus on a wide/bold easy to read font. I feel that based on my priorities your logo is not achieving that.

I must say though: I have seen other entries you've done and they looked great.

Just to let you know, the edge of the "T" in Direct wont be missing on the final proposal. Can also be easily revised!

    Feedback greatly appreciated, thanks. :)
