Copy writing a product

    How do I go about copy writing a web product I have a few ideas in my head and would need beta testers so I would need to copy write the product first any tips?

    Do you mean "copyrighting" or protecting the integrity of the product, or "copywriting" which would be written sales pitches or promotional materials?

    There are many here who can help you with copywriting, but only a few (in this particular section of the forum) have any decent knowledge of copyrighting an entity (and I'm not one of them! :) )

    Copyright cannot be applied for, it is automatic. Immediately after writing or producing anything, it is copyrighted to you, the author.

    Very right! Of course if some copyrights issues should arise regarding your work you might have to actually prove you are the author. Saying you are is often not enough.

    Copyrighting will protect the work, but not the idea. For that, you're out of luck, unless it's so unique that you can patent it (unlikely) or dependent on a clever turn of phrase that you can trademark.

    In those cases, seek the advice of a lawyer.
