Here is a new Referrer MOD for PHPLD This MOD will help you to track the submissions and by this you can know where the submissions came from! I installed in my directories and tested it .It works fine and you can even track a submission from search engine I found out that some of the submissions in my free directory had no referrers (They visited the site by typing out the url in the browser) Here is a snap shot of it! this is great, something i've always wanted. But how do u exactly differentiate visitors from submitters? Some come to the hompage, browse around before submitting, so it tracks the referral page and logs it only when the visitor submits? Also, is it an easy installation that can be done by oneself? Good job.
It tracks only submitters and not visitors (I have tested it many times) If you want I can give you the installation files and steps to install it on your directory! Or I can also render installation support for you!
This is just great. I'll surely have it on my directory after I come back from office. This mod is very important for determining how to advertise and where to advertise. I have always wondered if SE traffic helps in submissions. This Mod will surely tell it.
I am interested as well but I need few more details on how exactly its tracking?? Is it IP based or what ?? How the submission session is handled ?? What if user came from a site while browsing using IE, then close it and use FF for submission??

I have been using referred by field on my submit form, and around 50% of people would fill it up, but this is even better. I am definitely interested
