I used Western Union to send money for a purchase I made. I got my MTCN from them, and I called their number and dialed the MTCN when asked. I just checked the status of my transfer on their website and got a message saying "W0131 We do not have an order with the provided information. Please verify your information and click Check Status." I typed the EXACT number I was given, but I still get this message. Does it take a certain amount of time until the system recognizes your MTCN or something like this? I hope I haven't been scammed But, I'm pretty sure Western Union is legit, right?

I just called them, and they said that it could not be transfered for some reason. .. I don't understand this at all haha. The lady told me to hold and she would verify the information. She came back and said that it could not verified and I could visit Money Mart to complete my transaction. I then received an email saying "We have received your order, however, we regret we are unable to process your transaction at this time. Unfortunately, your order has not been authorized by Western Union and we are unable to complete your money transfer. You can find an Agent location on westernunion.ca. For additional information, please visit our website at www.westernunion.ca. We regret any inconvenience this action has caused, and look forward to serving your money transfer needs in the future. Thank you for using Western Union!" Hmmmm...any thoughts on this?
Western Union is very much legal and I used it several times, you can do one thing, just visit the nearest office of western union and find out the transaction details.
Did you use WU online, Did you buy with a CC , because if you send money offline they don't have record of that in the site.
I also quit using them, I'm now doing my transfer via wire transfer. There fees are very high, and one day I got fed up with it.
Seems your information was put in their blacklist. That's why you can't make transaction successfully. Regards
That happens to me lots of time. I cannot get my transaction details on website. You can ask your WU agent for that.
western union is legal company but recently I had a very bad experience with their Business Fx team, they asked me multiple id's to confirm my identity and later closed my business fx account.
