Sacrificing your life for your Country, land, cause or motive is known thing to every religion, school of thought, nation......

Every nation fights for the rights of them and sacrifices the lives of their people. Sacrificing of life for a greater cause is known as appreciated thing all over the world. Every nation is proud of their people who lost their lives in serving their nation/cause/whatever.

I was taught in my school the stories of people who lost their lives for serving my country. I watched the movie in my childhood of a young pilot who was a trainee and his instructor was a spy of India trying to take him to India with some military secrets and that young trainee hit the plane on earth losing his life. That young pilot was awarded with highest military medal in our country.

Your buddy bush proudly says that "our soldiers are sacrificing their lives in Iraq for "Noble"...blah blah blah BS".

So how come you don't give this right to other people to choose for them self what is "Noble" in their views and teaching their people to sacrifice their lives for that "Noble" cause.

You can disagree with their definition of "Noble" as i disagree with Bush's but you cant take their right to decide what is "Noble" in their opinion as i can't take this right from bush despite of my opposition of his thoughts.

Do you think being sacrificing yourself should be out of choice ?
If so, do you think this choice shouldn't be BIASED ?
It's like someone will teach his kids something like "You understand kids, life is very short and soon you will have to go to the other world.. You have to bomb yourself in an Israeli market for a great cause, and you will be heros!"
The kids grow up with this kind of education, and have absolutely no way of knowing whats 'right' and whats 'wrong'. They will live in the delusion that they MUST sacrifice themselves for the greater cause, to be heroes.
And so they do it.

I believe the situation with American soldiers is QUITE different, since they weren't raised by 'death is better than life' program, and they made their own choices and risks to go and serve their country, knowingly that they might get hurt or killed.
And that IS noble.

Theres nothing says "death better than life" for us.
Those who sacrifices their life are doing it just to die you think ? they've been having family deaths and relative deaths daily,what's worth living if you see strangers killing your family one by one ?? and when they try to fight back , everyone start claiming "TERRORISTS" ! they're killing us , we're so peaceful , why would they want to kill us !

IMO, I'd say the numbers are closer to 50% and that's being conservative.

Talk to your Maths teacher to tell you how much 1.3 billion is. Its 14% more than the total population of India.

Also among every four humans in the world, one of them is Muslim.

And, if 50% Muslims are terrorists, 1 out of every 2 Muslims is terrorist and 1 out of every 8 humans is terrorist.

You live in India (I think), and most of other posters in US, UK and you all have a lot of Muslims around you. How many terrorists you personally know of? If you have any sense of statistics, 1 out of every 2 if very huge percentage and you must know at least a couple dozen terrorist personally. Do you?

and according to wikipedia there are about half a million muslims in the US...if 50% of them were terrorists wouldn't you get thousand or more terrorist attacks on US soil? Specially considering how easy it is to get yourself a gun in the US.

Not really. There are at least 20+ people speaking against Islam and I guessed about only two.

Once I guessed on the base that guy had some knowledge about India, Pakistan and Kashmir and most probably a Pakistani or Indian could have that much info.
And later that guy told that, yes he was an Indian. So, factor of guessing was not hate etc.

Secondly I guessed about ly2, and I factor was hate against Islam and Muslims and some hard feelings against Pakistan on the topic of Kashmir (I noticed in another thread).

So, to answer your question .. I do not think every Indian hates Muslims. I have many Indian friends and two of them are pretty much close to me. And I never felt any kind of hate, racism in them about Islam, Muslims or Pakistan. Also, I know that whole nation cannot love or hate one thing. Different people have different mentality.
