What religions have not started a war?

Religion is a hot topic. Some say that wars are being fought even today because of religion. Are there religions out there that have not started a war? Is religion a good reason to go to war?

I wonder when we will start blaming actual human beings for what they do instead of blaming the organizations to which the perpetrators belong to.

Good point, do you thing the blame solely belongs on the individuals that belong to the organization or does some blame go to the organization itself??

An organization has no life of its own. In order to blame an organization for something I would think that every member of that organization would be responsible. I am sure that every member of any certain religion, for example, isnt responsible for the actions of others.

While it is true that certain Muslims may commit horrible acts I do not think that all Muslims are bad people. And while it is true that wars have been waged in the name of God not all people who believe in God are war mongers.

Blaming an entire organization or religion for what some have done is about the same as blaming all people of a certain skin color or nationality for what some members of their "group" have done.

I believe, speaking generally, that until we as a people can get down to blaming individuals and looking at personal responsibility not much will ever be solved.

Back to your question, it all depends upon what the organization teaches or expects from their 'members'. So yes, the organization can be at fault as well.

Yes, there are many religions that have not started a war. Personally I think wars are started by politicians and those hungry for power though they often hide behind a religion.

This answer is from a human perspective, and also seeks to free members of an organisation from reponsibility. If you are a member of a religion that takes part in wars then you have a choice. Either you remain in that organisation and share its bloodguilt or you say to yourself,"hmm, I don't agree with war as a solution, or violence of any kind, therefore I must disassociate myself from this organisation". The Bible is VERY clear on this issue. It refers to the world empire of false religion as Babylon the Great and states in Revelation 18: 4,5 " Get out of her my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues". This gives you God's view of religions that are involved in war. He holds her resonsible for the "blood of...all those slaughtered on the earth" (Rev.18:24). Given that just about every religion has been involved in bloodshed of some kind, this leaves everyone with little choice. Find the religion that does not nor has ever taken part in any wars, I did.

Religions are supposed to be mankind's guides to peace and godliness, but more often than not they have been the triggers of wars, violence, oppression and have proved to be the destroyers of peace instead of the promoters of peace and harmony. A very unfortunate thing indeed.
