What do you do when you maxed out on stumbleupon friends?

For some reason I thought today it would be a great idea for me to just totally go out and add every single person on stumbleupon.

Then once I got to 200 I figured out they capped the amount of friends you could have.. at 200.

So now that, that spree is over (which got me atleast 1.5k pageviews today) what is there to do?

How do you build fan bases, and all that stuff? :D

Try some other marketing methods. Stumble Upon isn't meant to be a permanent source of traffic. Search engines and link bait will bring you much higher quality and more stable traffic.

Whenever I make a website the first thing I do is submit it to search engines and optimize it with your keywords for google. Your ideal situation is to have google being your #1 source of traffic

Wrong henryhavoc. your ideal situation is not to have Google being your #1 source of traffic. It's best to not have a large amount of your traffic coming from one source, especially the search engines. If Google is your one source, then what will happen when your site suddenly looses it's rankings is that you will also loose a large volume of your traffic.

That is a very good point. Unfortunately, most websites don't have a choice in that matter. Google is the only site out there capable of driving huge amounts of traffic to many websites. Google is the only place that sends high amounts of traffic on a regular basis that most websites can get on.

If you do your SEO correctly, there shouldn't be an issue with huge rank drops for long periods of time. Rank can shift drastically on Google, but all the sites usually eventually shift back to where they belong.

I don't know if you noticed or not, but you are using "loose" instead of the word lose. You can lose you rankings on google, but you can't loose traffic! :)

so add your friends wisely on SU! I was unaware of that cap. Hopefully some of your new friends will introduce you to their friends and so on ;)

Are you guys really surprised Stumble Upon has limited the number of friends you can have? After all, it's not there for webmasters to spam their sites. The developers at Stumble Upon weren't born yesterday.

The cap is so freaking small though...

Were the makers of myspace born yesterday?

    I don't think so... but they still don't have a 200 friend cap! ~_~

are you really a friend with every one of those 200 persons? I doubt it. I found myself in the same situation a couple of days ago so i decided to delete all those who didn't added me as a friend back. :)
