    Hello,
Was check my directories overlay via google thingy, and found out only 2 clicks are made on categories like Education, Kids-Teen, Jobs, Family, etc. But cats, like Business, Health, shopping get the most clicks ? And not to mentions Alive directories banner, it has more clicks than any other link on the darn site :D , about 309 to be exact.

So, does you directory have same situation where those cats get neglected and no one wants to visit?

Now that you are saying this, i realize it's true.
maybe it's easier to look for some sites through directories, while for some others, people prefer search engines....
As for alive, it has a brand name that attracts visitors.

Oh i always thought i was sending traffic to alive, but now i think of it, alive might be sending some to my way. :p:p.

But I wonder how can directory get listed or even ever used for finding sites? I thought directories were more like link farms, never thought atleast that my directory would actually serve as a resource to someone :D.

they are link farms but maybe someone will search for something. For example if i need to make a search I will take a look in my directory to see if I can find something. Also other submitters may do the same from time to time.
It's just that some categories are more attractive than others i think.

It's because on the whole (apart from the Jobs category, which I would have thought should be a subsection of business anyway) those categories are not commercial. People just don't have the same incentive to submit non-commercial listings, and they also have less incentive to search. Remember that a lot of internet use is done for work reasons and shopping, and for both of those things people would generally look in the Business categories.

What you can get if you're not careful is a situation where the non-commercial sections get neglected because of few submits, and as a result there isn't that much for people to find in them, so nobody will bother to search those categories either.

What you mean give you a deal, its a free directory, anyone can submit if they want exposure to their site or simply a backlink :D, you are not submitting and doing me favor, cause i do not know how free link submission is a favor.

@pc yup i think its that song that has influenced us all.

Dude, I didn't address you, in particular. You aren't the only one commenting in this thread.

Do you mean to tell me that you don't know that YOU charge $25.95 for featured links?
