The UK Directory-The NAME and "about"

    An update:

    Domain Name: yourlocaltrades.com (co.uk bought too!)

    119 post code area's covered:
    Scotland (14)
    Northern Ireland (1)
    North East (10)
    North west (17)
    East Midlands (11)
    West Midlands (10)
    Wales (6)
    South West (12)
    South East (18)
    Greater London (20)

    Will include an option for the public to list which trade they require(free) - only our vetted trades will be able to quote (Ref No given to each listing).

    local businessess and local recruitment will also be available in each area.

    All trades to join their local trading standards scheme. (as well as our vetting procedure)

    Before we go "live" on september 1st, any interest from businesses wishing to be listed, any area - you will be on the holding page, when your area is activated your listing will be included for one year from this date. listing for free in portsmouth will start sept 1st 2007. This does not include "trades" outside Portsmouth (PO) due to the vetting procedure, cost will be £100.00 per year.

    That seems fairly expensive for a new website especially without no Google PR. How do you propose driving traffic to your website?

    An yes , your prices Mr-Honest do seem high for a new directory, but does your research suggest that will fly for you

    I would think you might fair better by using the .co.uk and redirecting the .com

    Mr-Honest with his unfair price for a site that is yet to be online. ;)

    But I guess there is nothing wrong in promoting your services.

    £100 for trades, businessess £50 (free before 1st sept), public listing which trade required FREE and recruitment £25 per job for 6 months.
