Why don't you review the 403 occurences of wife and the 133 occurrences of wives (some are the singular possesive so effectively refer to wife not wives) and you will get a clearer picture? The parable of the ten virgins is an example like the parable of the employee who was about to be fired, the examples are illustrative not doctrinal.

 

Completely illogical. If the wife has many husbands, the paternity of the child would be put into doubt.

1.The question of fatherhood would be one, Like the old Maury show( Who's the daddy).

2. Even if she had shifts for each husband to assure she would know, such as this husband this month,that the next and so on,once she gets pregnant the other husbands would have to wait a whole year to be with her because no man wants another man having sex with his wife while she pregnant with his child.

3.And if the men ever got into it because of this confusion, the woman would be helpless to do anything about it!

Let me guess how much this guy has given to a church. Um I'd say $0 but he complains. It sounds like he needs to study the Bible to the point that it makes a difference in him and start teaching, if he is gifted at teaching he may be raised up to be a preacher and he can choose to allow people to support the church and never ask for funds. That's the kind of church I support.

And if you married her for love then she does give you all (wouldn't love her otherwise). Or is marriage for love gone out of fashion? That section in Matthew 25 is an illustration about "are we ready" for Christ's return. This was mostly about 1914-1918 when Christ became King and inspected those who were looking after his belongings.

It has absolutely nothing to do with how many wives one has.
