I'm not sure what lots and lots of traffic is but I've been able to average $10 a day by putting the ads on the top 20 pages of one of my business sites.

Putting the first ad above increased the CTR. I also made sure the ad links were the same color as the links in the web page itself. The ads blend into the page.

The site gets between 500 to 700 visitors a day.

You have to work on getting more traffic. As you get more traffic, you would be able to make that much money and even more.
Try optimizing your site for search engines, getting as many links as possible and advertising on other sites.

 

The easiest way is to put your ads in a good place and get good quality targeted traffic.

 

If you are not interested in raising your CTR, and would not mind seeing low CTRs.. direct as much traffic as you can to your site. DO it via stumble exchanges, asking friends and people to digg your articles, and submit to other socializing sites.

Mate... one advice. There is no such thing as easy money. You have to work in the beginning.. and that too, hardwork.

Just build and popularize your website.. the money rolls in as the website/blog grows.

You have to find a niche and build a good website or blog around it. Therefore you will have good search engine ranking. But you have to submit articles and get backlinks to get maximum traffic.

 

Quality content is the only way to get targeted and repeated visitors to your site. When your traffic increase, earnings will increase automatically.

It is funny that every time someone asks for ideas to buid traffic or adsense or everything, there are the same answers strategies that are being given, seo, directories,link building, digg stumble articles or ads blendings, placement, etc..

And everyone says thank you, green rep, etc...
This just encourages the laziness, you could have found the answer if you have read through dp.

I am too bored to repeat again the same strategy that everyones use, and my own genial ideas do not go public, so basically i can not add something useful to your post.
