Well, I dropped some of my gear, the wind is pretty fierce at 6,400 feet. I was taking shelter behind a tree when my tripod blew over. I'm pretty bummed; the camera is okay, but the lens suffered. I traded a lot of optical quality for a handful of images: Stormy Lake at Sunrise Point Glaciers Hiding Behind the Clouds Panorama from Mt Ranier Anyway, I hope people at least enjoy the photos.
very nice forrest. hope it wasn't one of your better lenses that you lost. hope to see more from you bud.
Good stuff - do you submit images to istock or other microstock sites? you make some money with those
no!! not the lens!! tough break man I've been fortunate in my travels but then again rarely am I @ 6400' with 50mph gusts! how many frames on the pany?
Thanks! Ironically, I work at Getty Images, but in the IT department. They own iStockPhoto, and a few of the people on my team have suggested I start giving some of my lower end photos to iStock to get into Getty. I'll probably start selling some of my stuff though Alamay before long, and I've got a little bit on ZemoStock - with is free ( aka zero cost ). Believe it or not, just one. A high resolution starting point ( 13 mpx ) and a sharp lens get you a web-able panorama no matter how much you crop.
