Want to Start a New Directory-- Cost???

Hello Friends,

I wan to start a new directory probably 3 directories. I want to know how much would it cost me to launch a new directory? From domain to launching.

Detailed information will be much appreciated.

the cost depends on what you want, you can start with a free directory script and a free template. cost = $0.00 The only price you pay is for the domain name and hosting.

Or you can start off by creating a quality directory site, cost can be from $25.00 to a few hundred for the script and in upwards of $500.00 for the template plus the cost of the domain name and hosting.

Then comes in the other factors.

 

I want to start with 25$ PHPLD script and a free template. That means this would cost me $25 + Domain name and hosting per directory? I am designer as well so i think I can design a template by myself as well.

What other tips you would like to share with me as I am a newbie in this field and I don't have enough budget right now to advertise much? What are the less expensive and free methods of marketing my directory?

Just my opinion, the biggest factor would be your ability to design and code... The more you can do yourself, the more you save...

I can't code but i think I can design. It would be my first experience of designing directory template. Lets see how it goes.

If you can design a good quality template you can get it coded for about 30-50 dollars here on DP. I can recommend naif he is one of the best coders I have used for phpld.

Setting up will be the cheapest
Promotion will break the bank...

If you are even remotely serious you will need a minimum of $1000... just to start...

 

starting a directory costs 25$+domain+hosting.

but you need many backlinks to have good directory and i think nobody can give exact price for this

I would start with one and see how it goes, starting one decent quality directory is much better than starting 3 low-quality ones. Set aside a few hundred dollars for buying a bit of advertising and featured directory submissions.

 

For a directory, it would be free and $xxxxx, all depends on what kind of directory you want to make.

Domain, hosting, script all could be free. But a successful and quality directory needs heavily promotion; 24 hours x 7 days hard work and enough investment.
