Google's 2007-Q3/Q4 PageRank (PR) Update

Most of it is , is indeed guestwork but using details such as back links updating and other google server activity. Though most of it is guess work there is reason behind the madness!

Exactly like the last 4-5 updates, only a few select sites have been updated so far...

Let it run, notice 2 blocks showing PR1... this is new PageRank. This does mean it is in progress now.

If someone wants to track down the threads about the last PR update, we should be able to see how long before the sampling of PR updates starts to when it spreads was then, but I do remember on at least 1 occasion it was 2 weeks from one to the other, and NetMidWest says he thinks the last one was about 7 days. This would put the roll out somewhere between 3-10 days from now.

Once they start rolling this out to the other sites it takes less than an hour to hit everywhere.

The only thing that might change is if they do a rollback or change the snapshot date, which they have done before, but it still should complete less than 2 weeks from the start date.

Michael: you are correct. Last update in April was the same thing. Some changes for a small amount of sites on a few DC's. Nearly 2 weeks after that the PR was exported to the TB for all sites. So you do remember correct.

And I believe it was the same thing in January when that update hit us.

It seems like with my amount of posts and I was active in that thread too, we could come to the conclusions that I only post here when the PR is about to be exported

To save you the time, the first reports came April 17th and the 27th the complete export was made to most of the DC's.

 

Gnet posted about the start of 2007 July PR update more than a week back, which means the final PR update is about to update soon. Although I still don't see any changes on any of the sites I checked.

 

I predict using standard divination methods such as Tarot and Runes. If I could figure out how to get my toolbar to drink tea I'd also read it's leaves.

However, on this round, I said it was started on the 10th (scroll back a few pages) as that was when several sites got changes to internal PRs...however, my post was largely ignored. I do wonder if such numbers will stick in the final pr update...maybe I'll need to hit my cards again to see

 

I predict that the update will start for most sites by next Sunday at the lastest. If it has started for a select few sites already, it usually doesnt take more than a week for it to start rolling out on the rest of the sites.

Qryztufre, you should take a screenshot of one of the multi-dc tools showing different PageRanks for the pages, or at least provide a link. Most people like to see it for themselves, since you will hear PageRank update rumors all year long without any proof.

Wanna know what's screwed up? As near as I can tell, it looks to me as if maybe the snapshot for this export is only a week after the last one. I've never seen that before.

I think it as already begin this week-end, just a proof here(don't like the word proof when we speak of pagerank, we never really know with google ).
In french forum, i also see some webmasters who got new pagerank one some pages (but without examples).

Yes is true, this is the first homepage PR update I have seen (up to now all I had seen where inner page updates on some sites), It has surely started then.

I'm not seeing anything on mine though.

Which should give us a rollout in about 3-8 days, I think. Something like that anyways.

However, all the data centers that are not down say it's currently a three.

The data centers are also returning a PR 2 for the internal pages on my site, which had a PR0 before the 10th accept for two which still have a 0
