Well at least I figured out why you are so bitter:

You tried to start some sort of article directory

Then because it probably had all dupe content it was banned from Gooogle,

So now you are upset and running around criticising everyone else to try and make yourself feel better,

You need to stop wasting your time (and everyone elses) and move on with your life. Leave the negativity behind and instead of posting useless posts all the time trying to get someone to argue with you just try another directory, this time do something unique, put a little creative thought into it. I am sure if you appoligize for your childish behaviour some of the members here would even help you out with some ideas and tips.

Christ you lot are evil to the bone. :D The OP is right that there are loads of garbage directories coming out that's a fact but maybe rephrasing to discount those of us who actually do go to lenghts to make the directories under our management 'non garbage'.

i stop deal with my directory, after understanding, that it is waste of my time. and then i got banned from google,
and by the way i had pr 5.
and spend a lot of time. by at some point, i understand, that there is no reasong to build directory.

At least my directory was a articles directory, not usless links.

i am the person who, more realistic, than most of you out there, when i realised, that my directory or other directory are useless, i stop it.
and i am deff. saved my self a lot of free time.

    good luck.

Enjoy your free time. What your saying is the equivalence to trying to launch your own insurance business and it failing them joining insurance forums and telling people how it's a useless practice.

Glad you're leaving the directory game to more qualified hands. Atleast one garbage directory is no longer operational... One at a time I guess...

Yawn. This has been discussed to death. Also Rand's directory is also garbage and maybe that's why he shares your view.

People like you think they can jump into the market and make a splash. You have no clue how hard top directory owners work now and HAVE been for months or years to get to where they are. You come up short and discredit the industry...

    Weak.

you life goes by, and reason, why u a wasting your time, is because, it is not in your own hands.
Tomorrow google will decide to change rules of the game, and a lot of people will get hurt. so, time/value ratio does not work here, u don't know, what happen in 2, 5 years from now, and all your work will be gone in one sec.
YOU DON'T HAVE CONTROL OF IT. GOOGLE DOES.

landfield of directories will be overflow and google will make something about, so you are people cancer of the web with all those garbage directories.

You're right I can't see the future, and neither can you for that fact so everything you've said is garbage. Now that you gave directories a month of your life and quit what is your next quick buck plan? Just curious because I want to know which forum to look up when you fail and begin bashing it as well.

Actually I wish to say that directories are by no means garbage!

They actually help your site to get indexed quickly!

The best is yet to come in future I see a good role for free directories!

Actually there are a lot of garbage web directories out there, people such as yourself see them as a way to make a quick buck.

However those of us that are dedicated to our sites/directories, know this to not be the case. Directories are not for everyone for the simple fact that it takes alot more time, money, and resources, than a regular web site in order to have a professional site, quality site, and a profitable site.

Most new directory owners do not really understand the amout that goes in to creating a quality directory. They start a directory, see that it is not going as planned, try and figure out a way to make it profitable, start learning and seeing that it takes more than they are willing to put into it, and then say the h@@l with it.

The reason for this is simple, newbies hear about making money online, they come to places such as DP and other forums, and then see several of us with quality directories and see that we are making a profit and say how hard could it be, espically as seeing that there are free directory scripts as well as free templates, and hosting nowadays is nothing. They think, "Man I can start doing this and make money to." But they fail to realize that tons of time and money and effort goes into creating a quality site that people actually want to pay to be listed in. They make a few dollars and then look toward what the next scheme is that may make a profit. What does this do, it leaves those of us that are dedicated to our sites to try even harder as those that do this leave a bad impression on a lot of other newbies.

I have owned alot of types of websites, forums, ect. And by far, directories are the most time consuming sites to own and operate and turn into a quality site. It is a never endding cycle, you can not just go buy a link or two and site back and watch the money roll in. You have to actually take the money you make as well as money out of your own pockets in order to get it going.

But I can tell you this, Once you actually take the time and energy and create a quality directory, then you will see where I am coming from as they are not all garbage and they actually have tons of value to the internet, search engines, webmasters, and surfers. And you will also start making a nice profit for yourself.
