My first traffic source is from forum posts.

    Then comes the informative sites.

Only then the google search engine plays the role in traffic for my site.

My main source is from search engines although I'm starting to look into other means of getting traffic.

Yep, my keywords are competitive, I'll likely still advertise even when I rank for all of them.

Oh and I forgot about direct traffic, that generally is more then my Google organic traffic.

My main sources (for Noddegamra) are through Digg, Google, and Word of Mouth/Referrals (Unique Direct Traffic).

On one of my sites here are my stats:

    Perc. Search Engine
    61.09% Yahoo!
    33.46% Google
    1.95% MSN
    1.95% Windows Live
    0.78% AOL UK
    0.78% Sympatico/MSN

Its all search engine traffic, organic. I'm getting far too much percentage wise from Yahoo, but this encourages me as I know roughly what traffic I can get if I can replicate the Yahoo success on Google. The rest of the search engines are too small to even bother with.

It is little surprising for me to see the statistics. You get the traffic from yahoo about double than the traffic from google. Certainly siteexplorer helps now for some extent. But the statistics is not digestible to my sites.

I'm working now to improve my google ranking, really the percentages should be closer to the opposite, I would expect 60%+ from google. I'm too late now for a PR increase from 4 on this PR increase, I am aiming for a PR5 and some good quality links in time for the next update. SEO wise there isnt so much more I can do, other than continue to add high quality, unique content.
