Its a simple trick that allows firefox to make tons of attempts to load a site at once with no wait. Its prolley also cause i tuned up my pc and did this thing to my cable modem.

What do you mean there are hacks in Firefox? You mean installing mods?

I think he changed the network.http.pipelining.maxrequests value to something like 100 - firefox doesnt allow it to be more than 8 though.

Pipelining is advisable only for dialup users coz it creates multiple connections with the server, and if everyone on firefox did this, all the servers(including you host's) would be down. So be generous and keep it to the default value.

You can do it by opening about:config in a new tab.
Then change the value for network.http.pipelining.maxrequests.
But again, if you are on DSL/Cable, doing is it not advisable as it makes a difference of only a few 100 ms on your side...

Oh right, ta! I did that + tweaked a few other settings and its much better now. Even a few milliseconds over millions of pageviews will eventually add up :D

    Here.......

    1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit enter. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

    2. Alter the entries as follows:

    Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"
    Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

    3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

    Code (markup):

    PLEASE ADD REP!!!!!!!!

Type about:config into your browser's address bar, click go and then just fiddle with the menu.

    -edit-

Or alternatively see a proper guide above my post :p
