What are they? Do I make money off people clicking them, or do they have to be clicked on and then sign up or download something like the old referrals for firefox and stuff?
They are PPA (Pay Per ACTION) meaning that the visitor has to do something before you get paid. Usually this means they have to purchase something, but there are many that will pay you if the visitor signs up for their service, etc.. There are at least a few that are free for the visitor - but they usually only pay a few $ ..
Basically, these referrals are a bit like affiliates such as Commission Junction. I think this may well be the future, too. Has anybody tried them, how is it working out?
Yes, I'm doing well on R2, but is a good idea to follow the basic tips like incentive people to buy the products.
they simply suck, don't even go near them! i had them for a 3-4 days and my earnings were like $10 for the whole time with like 10,000 impressions! but yet if you want to try them there is an IQ one that gives like $1/conversion and that's the only one i could earn anything from!
If you have good marketing skills, they are a gold mine. If you don't, they'll suck big time. (time.. mine.. hmm i can make an AdSense song from this )
