No, actually the other party was failed to convince the court that a multi billion pound meat industry is more important than an animal's life. I'm damn sure court didn't even consider the Hindu beliefs. They simply considered that childish rage of the Assembly to slaughter the bull was not within the law. The court ruled that the Assembly had so far failed to prove that slaughtering six-year-old Shambo was the only way to check the spread of the disease. Hickinbottom said the Welsh Assembly's decisions on May 3 and July 3 to order and carry out the slaughter of the bull "were unlawful and will be quashed." It has nothing to do to Hindu beliefs but yet you'd deny to accept it, because you don't see a bull worth living.
What are you talking about? The law already says that cattle with bovine TB have to be killed. The people who wanted to kill it didn't have any convincing to do, They were simply following the law. It was the monks who convinced the court that they were exempt from the law. The story clearly says; [the decision] was immediately hailed by the Hindu Forum of Britain (HFB) as "a landmark judgment in the history of religious worship" in Britain. and; The judge said the assembly had to determine whether killing the animal or taking some lesser measure "would be proportional given the serious infringement of the Hindu community's rights" It was clearly a religious matter and the law was clearly ignored because of the monks religious belief. And as for me not caring about the animal, I do, But i also care for the hundreds of thousands of other animal that this bull could infect. But as you are a media fed moron, You only care about the one that makes it in to the news, Right?
You can believe a cow is god, As far as i know being an idiot is still perfectly legal. But if that "god" happens to contract a highly infections disease your beliefs shouldn't even come in to consideration, The cow should be killed and thrown in to an incinerator. Why should that particular animal be exempt from strict animal disease laws simply because of something someone believes? It gives a licence to any crazy nut who has delusions to start demanding undue respect and immunity from the law. And if it really is a god, Why doesn't it just cure it's self?
You are right, when people can kill a baby before being born, its nothing wrong in killing a cow., But i agree with you on killing a cow that has an infection that can cause serious health problems to the public and other animals I said , its god for me, just like a "Plus" being believed as god to some other people, Everyone has the right to their belief.,
Show me the reference of such law, where it says a cattle with bovine TB HAS TO BE KILLED. I give a damn to story and what Hindu or Assembly said after Court decision. Show me where COURT has mentioned 'religious beliefs' should be protected aover law in this case. Thank you. See above and Prove it. Bullshit.
court judgment all 57 pages of it here is the full 57 pages of the court judgment and it is mostly saying that the religion has precedent over the current law of cattle with TB having to be slaughtered. under the human rights act to religious freedom. But the Government can still appeal. i have read all 57 pages, what i find scary is that the commune has 90,000 visitors a year and they are fed food grown on the land, and that bulls shit has been spread on the land. and it's shit can spread TB too. also on that farm they have 1 elephant some lama some deer, 23 rabits and some other animals. and a heard of cows. if the bull can pass TB to just one person from the 90,000 that visit, then the bull needs to be put down.
It was ordered by the welsh assembly. You know, The people in charge. It was in the bit you quoted, You plank. If you aren't going to read the evidence people use to destroy you stop asking for it. Religion was mentioned numerous times in the case and the judge said the assembly had to determine whether killing the animal "would be proportional given the serious infringement of the Hindu community's rights". He is saying their religious beliefs should be a factor in determining if this animal should be killed or not. See above, I did. Twice. So we should care about this single animal but not about the many animals that live with it at this place or the thousands of cattle in Britain which would be at risk if an infected animal was allowed to live? Strange how you picked the one that made the news to develop an emotional bond to. It's almost as if you are some kind of cretin incapable of forming an opinion of his own unless the media is there to guide you in the right direction.
