Can Christians have more than one Wife???

I have read the Bible the Whole thing, and it says it's okay to have more than one wife.

Why do some Christians say no when others and the Bible says YES???

What do you think?

In the old testament you will find that there were many wives but after Jesus came. He removed that

I wish Christian can have more then one wife.
That's the only thing the Muslim's are cool at.

Well, if you want to let men have more than one wife, you have to let women have more than one husband.

Personally I am all for a totally different system based on intelligence and sterilization.

Deuteronomy 21:15

15 If a man has two wives,and he loves one and not the other,and both bear him sons but the firstborn is the son of the wife he does not love,

16 When he wills his property to his sons,he must not give the rights of the firstborn to the son of the wife he loves in preference to his actual firstborn,the son of the wife he does not love.

17 He must acknowledge the son of his unloved wife as the firstborn...

Now Leviticus ( Old Test.)

Leviticus 18:18

18 Do not take your wifes sister as a rival wife and lay with her while your wife is living.


Now Matthew 25 ( New Test.)

1. Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

2. And five of them were wise, and five [were] foolish.

3. They that [were] foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

4. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

6. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

8. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

Now that is JESUS Himself Speaking.

He would not have compared the kindom of Heaven Coming as a man who came to choose wives if it was a sin to have more than one.

I can think of a lot of other things the smartest being alive could have said, so i know HE could have said something else.


Here's why I think so many people think it's wrong.

People listen to preachers who have a church full of people with pre build values based on what other people think is right.

And alot of preachers will say what they need to to keep the coins in the basket.

They do not want to upset those women and men who pay every sunday to hear what they PAID to hear.

 

Try the Fundamentalist LDS Church. If you could call it that. Their leader, Warren Jeffs, was arrested by the FBI.
