I did a little math and am so far away from my goal!

I have a goal of earning $16,000 to pay off my student debt and medical bills. I have earned some money now I have to earn 15194.59 to pay everything off.

So I decided to find out how many clicks on my Ad Sense ads I would need to raise that amount and I used my average amount per click which for me right now is 17 cents... today's average was higher, but I wanted to use my over all average.

In doing so, I found out that I would need almost 90,000 clicks before I raised the amount I need.

I think I need some higher earning key words or a lot more traffic. Today was a record day for me in traffic, but I am still miles away from earning a lot of money.

Anyone else have a goal they wish to reach and have you figured out how many clicks you'll need to get there.

I found a site that let's me put in current information and lets me know what my monthly and yearly earnings are by the information I put in. I put in the information that today gave me (my best day) instead of my overall averages and it came up with this:

    Daily Earnings $3.92
    Monthly Earnings $117.60
    Yearly Earnings $1,430.75

    Daily Clicks 14
    Monthly Clicks 420
    Yearly Clicks 5,110

Well, what's your niche? You could head in the direction of making more sites of the same niche, or going into a new niche.

Me personally, I don't count the clicks, the earnings, etc. I count my traffic, which is most important, in my opinion. The money comes with it. My goal is to make 5 digits a year from AdSense, and I plan to reach it by the end of December.

I've sent you a little site that might help you.

Once you start getting more traffic, you will start to rank better and people will start referring other people to your site.

Build it up, and soon enough it will keep building by itself.

Yeah, I have started to create more blogs.. I'm getting more into the niche I want to be in. Things are starting to look up for in traffic-wise which, in turn, it helping me ad wise.

If you've got the activity, go for affiliation, that should be more profitable I think.

I am making around ~20K from just one of my sites a year (aiming for $50K).

Three things I learnt to make money:

    1) Make things that people want and isn't too available
    2) Give incentives
    3) Spend at least 2 hours a day working on putting content

    Peace,

First two are obvious, but I like that third one. Content is always key.
