Well, I just recently bought 2 1gb sticks off eBay and they were all correct in every respect except I needed low density and got high density sticks which weren't compatible.. they offered to refund with a 15% restocking fee or upgrade to the "correct" RAM for $60 more so.. no thanks.. I'll sell them and get the right RAM when I can.

Ram is so temperamental, I often buy locally even if it's 20.8% more than what I could buy it for online.

I had a Gigabyte MoBo that was impossible to find the right Ram...it would BSOD all the live long day with 4/5 of the MFG's that I tried

I have 1 GB in my laptop, which is expandable to 2 GB. Someday I might add more but I am not sure right now. The money situation's tight and it's not a priority although a fast computer is nice to have.
