Is the only difference between the two is, that christians believe Jesus is God while the Jews do not (I think Jews do not believe in Jesus at all i.e. he has no place in Judaism whatsoever).
To be technically accurate, they believe Jesus is the Messiah. Jews don't think the Messiah has returned to Earth.
I dunno much about religion, but didn't the Jews kill Jesus because they thought he was some kind of imposter or crazy man?
I don't think there is any talk of Christianity in Judaism i.e. in Torah. As far as they are concerned, Christianity is a fake religion started by a man claiming to be God
But Didn't the Jews Make Them? Im sorry Im not too sure of this, but thats what happened in the passion of the christ.
How could the Jews make the Romans do anything? The Romans executed Jesus. Pilate pronounced his death sentence and the basic attitude of the romans was that if he was the Son of God he would be able to withstand the execution. The idea that "Jews killed Jesus" is actually a deeply rooted anti-Semitic idea that still exists to this day, as evidenced by this thread.
please dont scare critizers off by starting the "anti-semetic" thing! .... Judaism is not a race its a religion so dont scare the Christian rooted americans away. I mean its OK to diss another religoun Islam, but its not to Judaism. The Jews had financial Power in the Romans era and the film showed why the Jews had the power to demand his death by the Romans.
Actually, Judaism is not a race, but legally was declared one: The Jews may have had "financial power", but that didn't mean that they made the Romans do anything. The Romans routinely executed prisoners, Jesus was just one more in a long line of them that day. I mean you're actually attempting to debate based on Mel Gibson's "Passion of the Christ." ROFL The fact you keep interjecting random comments about "the Americans" as you call us, shows where you head is at.
I'd have to agree with Lexiseek on this one. Thanks for the laugh tho!: @qwest Christianity is based on the Torah. Judaism existed long before Christianity was brought to life.
