Are Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows domains worth it?

well heres the thing, i have one and im not sure what to do with it. i would sell it if there were any offers. but other than that what should i do with it?

If so I would say keep it once the books released it will be worth more and once they get to the movie it will be worth a lot more.

 

I would think HarryPotter8.com might be worth more in the future.

You could put up some aff links if the site was attracting traffic. At this point of time, the domain isn't worthless, but certainly not as valuable as it once may have been.

And the other question is about the legal status of the site. Making money off HP might lead you into a legal tangle- though I am not too sure about that.

 

Definite potential TM issues.. if you make any money off it, you can be liable for all kinds of monetary damages, plus have to give up the domain.

 

You might want to have an affiliate link to amazon, to buy a copy of the book. As people have said you might get in trouble, lots of people have done.

 

You are looking for trouble then. JK is in suing frenzy after the leakage issue and I am sure sooner or later the legal problem will come.

In my opinion, I would stay clear of domains like this. The book has now been released, and in a couple of days the frenzy will be over. It may pick up again once the film comes out, but like mentioned JKR is on a suing frenzy.

 

I think the Harry Potter is set to grow and grow. Everything about this site name says that it ought to be a money spinner but I don't think I could handle all the legal stuff that is bound to happen once you monetize it.

 

You don't think that if there is one day a book 8 then it might be worth millions? JK Rowling has already said that she isn't planning on writing a book 8 right now but wouldn't say never to it.

the harry potter era is dead, warnerbros has already signed a contract for another fantasy story, and they are planning to make movies and promote it.
There is still movie 6 or 7 , but the problem is that you will get traffic just closing to their launch and at that time, people will usually go to traditional sites to check trailers, informations etc.

 

I guess it is worth it because the book just came out and everybody is looking into everything about Harry Potter.
