Just found out a trick to increase CPM for AdSense

i tried it, i might have done it wrong. haha, i haven't seen a
benefit or a loss, so I might not have done it right. but i
think it's nothing worth fighting over. it's not against the
terms blatantly, anymore than putting a stock photo beside
ads. so i think it's only fair to either give it a try or not to...
not fighting about it... i mean, really.

 

Um, my adsesne costs per click actually went WAY down... almost to 50 % of the dollar amount...

 

Then you have actually done something wrong.

 

is this legal. i don't think so.

Or maybe you're just mistaken and the jumps in CPM are just coincidental. You seem awfully quick to prove other people wrong without admitting that there's a certain random factor to what you're doing.

 

9 out of 10 people had done this succesfully which means that other 1 person had done something wrong certainly. I am not mistaken but you're free not to use it if you think I'm mistaken. I'm not getting paid sharing my uniquely found tricks here and I don't think I'm gonna continue sharing when there are so many ungrateful people around.

Lots of people are using it, we could do with google giving us their stance on this exploit, otherwise we will have a lot of unhappy people on our hands!

o.k., lets take that at face value.

1)so now tell us, noob, did google give this forum specific permission to alter the pub i.d. for purposes of revenue sharing?

2)how is that relevant to leet breaking the tos *without* the permission of google?

 

I tried this, and to be honest did not find any difference between before and after.

The thing that caught my eye when trying this was that the adsense bot had about 1000% higher activity on my site. (that is 1000 per cent, not 100) Going to page after page, then back again.

Speculation on my part would be that my account, and domain, are probably now flagged for a human at adsense to look at for possible fraud - I am not bothered as I have nothing to hide, and I'll just 'admit' to having mistakenly incorrect code on the site for a time if I do get an email from the adsense team.

On a side note, it has been known for the adsense bot to share information with googlebot - so maybe there is an SEO technique here too, given the fact that my site has been well and truly crawled now!?
