    Today after 48hrs after the launch of my site :

    http://rapidsurfing.net/

    I got +800 visitors and 90% Add to favorite.

    I will explain few marketing tactics that help me to achieve the goal.

    Newgroups : Announce abt the launch of my site to few newgroups from Yahoo!

    Blogging : Search google for relevant topics and add my site with the commenting.

    Digital Point : Since my site provides a free service I just announce it in DP freebies.

    Social Bookmarking : Find five popular SB and market.

    Signature : Add my site as signature and do few postings in relevant forums.


    Some of them in the above feels as spamming but without a single spamming No one can be alive.

    you know, not a bad post. Who cares if you are doing it for more traffic..point is that youve shared some unique ideas that many dont even mention in the marketing thread about traffic, imho. Bravo

    Everyone already knew these techniques. You read about them all the time here.

    How can you get more traffic to your website ?
    - putting a link somewhere so blogs are great, forums too. Is that new and unique? NO.

    From what I see it's just another attempt of showing his URL.

    I am already getting a huge traffic from other sites.And since its a free service I can get more and more outside DP.

    I just share my views to newbies and NOT to u!

    I don't think so.Because the marketing tactics I made is very clear (I think).

    I mean without a single spamming way of marketing - is incomplete :D

    Did you collect email addresses for further follow up? That would seem to be an important step, considering you have more than 800 visitors.....offer a good report or course via email and you may end up selling something that is useful to your list.....

    It seems that you outlined a good strategy, none of which really has to be considered spam, if done correctly.

    I don't like posts like these, "How I made so much (hits, UV, $, etc) in so little time" should be reserved from spammers trying to sell some stupid e-book or something:mad: They are not to be used a really useful post :mad:

    As I said before I don't want to sell anything.I only shared my knowledge.
    This is the only reason why most of the geeks (I am not claiming as Geek) are not sharing there ideas in DP.

    These ideas are certainly not anything new, but I think it's good to see a post every once in a while as it's good for the newbies (we were all newbies at one time). If you are experienced and already know it all then you can either just skip over the post and ignore it, or an even better idea is to add to the discussion by inputting some new ideas.
