Can I have any script through which i can allow my website-users to send SMS free of cost in india?
And that also free of cost to me as well
How can we do that...?

 

SMS to India needs SMS Gateway, which will charge u !
But I think its cheap.First setup a sms gateway and use email to sms gatway programming !

It is certainly possible and fairly easy to do, for years there were many of these sites offering it in all sorts of countries, the problem was the question of where your income comes from? Each message costs you, you can try adding text adverts at the end of the message but the fact that most of these companies folded when advertising revenue was much higher than it is today suggests that the idea isnt viable (it is unlikely that the hundreds of companies were poorly managed)

 

I use clickatell.com

Easy to set up so a PHP script sends an SMS.

Think it's about £0.04 per SMS although it goes down the more credits you buy.

 

Just curious, how do webmasters for these sites control abuse?

I know that in many countries it costs people money to recieve a text message, couldn't someone use your site to spam people?

Also, what if people send adverts through txts? That is illegal in the states, would you get in trouble?

I looked into this a while back but not for India. One of the best solutions I found was that you could send an email from the website to the telecomm company using the phone number as part of the email address. For Verizon it's [phonenumber]@vtext.com like .

Today I just contact this people and ask for more details.They have two plans :

1. Share SMS Gateway
2. Dedicated SMS Gateway

first one cost $650 as initial cost and for local SMS (inside kerala - 0.50 INR)
and 2 INR for other states.

If u want to do it within India its a nice thing.I am interested in partnership.

 

These scripts are usually provided by your sms gateway provider, in fact many of them will install it for you.

But the big question is .50 INR for KERALA only? then what about the rest of the INDIA? Do we have to contact in each state....
