Dont know but if you plan on selling then Sitepoint is were you want to sell it. Last person sold a PR5 with inners of PR4 and got $16,000 so... Goodluck regardless thx malcolm
Really? im planning to sell my www.linkmarketdir.com PR6 which has PR5 and PR4 inner pages.. i maybe trying to sell it there.. Kojak
I have it as part of the agreement that the new owner MUST keep the current links for the purchased period.
ya, sitepoint's market place is far more professional and good for sellers! anyways, expecting $4000-$6000 for a nice PR5 directory is not that bad!
A cohesive idea as to what you mean would be great.........maybe my powers of perception have left me.
Indeed, any site (whether directory or not) is only worth what someone is willing to pay... whether its $10 or $10,000 it depends entirely on the buyer!
First off you cannot sell them seperately as one is a subdomain. Secondly the domain isn't even related to web directories. I'd say maybe get $2,000 for it if you are lucky. I"d just keep them.
I think it depends on value and quality of site then. When we are talking about serious sites, it's usually 36x more (3 years). I am not saying if you get 100k uniques monthly your site is worth that and that. Just my 2 cents.
Good luck with the sale, if your directory had a unique directory domain name it could be worth at least 10,000. I saw livedirectory.com sold for 8,000(just the name with no content) Like this still should be worth at least 6,000. But always depends on the promotion you've done so far.
Thanks, You are right. This was my first directory so while I fixed all my little beginning mistakes (as i learned about directories), I couldn't change the domain name... But even if it doesn't sell, i wont be too upset as I will promote it more myself.
Some people have it to spend... as much as like DP... most members here dont like to spend as much as they do at sitepoint for some reason.. I could show you right now a sell of a directory or forum ( cant remeber ) that sold for 32,000 .. and he is a mamber of DP... thx malcolm
It's like anything else, its only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. Get someone on a good day and you could make lots.
