Google PR is only for entertainment (gimmick)

I don't understand why people make such a big fuss about the little green PR bar?

You can have a PR of 0 and beat sites for with high PR's in the SERPs.I've seen it in lots of SERPs and I have achieved this with some of my own sites.

In my opinion people has becomed to obsesssed with the green PR bar.Been there and donme that. No more.

Forget the PR bar and focus on writing quality content, build related links and the rest (entertainment) will follow.

selling links can be just as profitable as providing quality content with other ads on it...and as it sits now, PR is one of the standards that they are sold by.

It's a fact that getting that little green bar up higher will make you more money in link sales, so what's wrong with being obsessed over something that'll make you money?

 

Obsession leads to longing. Action leads to results. Why wait for PR to update when there's work to be done?

 

I have never really paid much attention to it. All I pay attention to is rankings.

 

Google Page Rank is most certainly not for entertainment purposes only, it's an integral part of the SERPs ranking system. Public display of PR on the toolbar is the gimmick.

I agree..........PR is just for link sale it has extremely little to do with ranking in SERP's or getting traffic to your site

 

Definitely you right. Don't wait all results from PR. There are a lot of factor with Page Rank.

 

i think pr is not useless but it's not a major factor for SERPs.
i notice that many sites having hige PR don't change their ranking much when google update algo or backlinks.
but pr0 website may fall from 1st page to 10th page easier when google update come around (like my site T_T ).

 

Well i agree that there is no corelation between SERP and PR. But with a high PR you can definetely fatch more $$$ as the cost of link depends on PR.

 

PR makes 'huge' difference if you are working in niche which care about 'PR'

Its very simple.

 

PR can play a factor especially with programs text link ads

 

sometimes this is even more profitable....It is easier to exchange links to get high PR than to get relevant, high quality links

 

People with low PR sites always say PR is not important

 

lol, yeah people with low IQs say its the EQ that's important... both are needed!

 

I dont blindly accept Google PR toolbar! Sometimes it gives you the correct info and sometimes wrong info.

 

PR is very important

First you buy some high PR links for you site
Then your site gets a high PR
Now you can sell links to others who plan to sell links on their site but their site only has a low PR
...

 

Toolbar PR is just for entertainment purposes, it's so old in internet terms it might as well be considered historical.

 

just show how important and informative our site is... then let that pr & serp judge it!
