Why does Amercia blindly support Israel?

I can never get to the bottom of this issue. I find America is never critical of Israel no matter what the situation is or even if the are in the wrong. I think it makes even countries like the UK (America's closest ally after Israel) and EUsometimes very uneasy.

Yes, we know the White House is constantly being bribed by rich American "Jews" (most of them probably have never seen the light of a synagogue), but if America is to be seen as a neutral influence on the world, then this cannot go on hence the great battles they are currenly in places like Iraq, Afghanistan (wars they cannot win).

Who are "we?" that know the naughty Jews are giving bribes? Are you referring to muslims, like yourself?

Ironically, Bush has stated (incorrectly) many times that islam is about peace and tolerance and even went so far as few weeks ago, to align with a CAIR representative. CAIR, of course, being unindicted con-conspirators in a current terrorist trial.

Even more ironic is, while the US supports Israel, Bush authorized millions of dollar (dumb move on his part) to palestinians. Money, of course, which will ultimately be used to buy weapons and recruit suicide bombers to attack Israel. Meanwhile, the US also gives aid to many other muslim countries, such as Jordan and Egypt. Countries, who have many people inside that want nothing more than "death to America" and "death to Israel."

The "we" is the whole world woith common sense that are not blinded by prejudice one way or another. The whole world knows why Amercia shows uncondional love for Israel. Well, I guess it is conditional in the sense that money has to be forthcoming (the bribes).

I'm part of the world. I'm not part of that "we."

Usually those that claim grand support with "everyone knows" or "the whole world" are very insecure in their positions and seek to include others in their opinions automatically.

We show support for many hostile muslim nations too. Personally, I'd rather we didn't support any of them who are hostile, and instead, use that money to support real allies, like Israel.

I know if I'm on the street and am approached for money and someone says "death to you and your family," I'm not inclined to offer anything.

I'm sorry, I have Common sense, and I'm neither blinded nor prejudiced in any way. And I'm 100% damn sure I'm not the part of your "WE".

I support Israel for many reasons, and none of those reasons is 'Blind'.

Israel is a very trustworthy ally.
Israel prefers peace provided they are allowed to live in peace
Never found an Israeli blowing himself in public.
Israel prefers to remain in mainstream and catch up with modern time
Israel believes in "Live and let live" theory
Israel is not promoting any kind of terrorism.
Israel has a very good relation with entire sane world.

Perhaps these are the reasons America also supports Israel.

That would almost be like saying "the bible" or "koran" and "fact" in the same post. Oh wait, there is some actual factual stuff on You Tube if you look hard enough. :p

Can you please provide any info when was Israel "wrong" as you say than we can talk a little :D

What is with all this israel that, muslim that ... simply once great british empire decided that jews have state in todays israel land and thats it. Israel was established like many other countries around the world. It is kind of parallel with nations being born in europe in 19th century

Ok now ... where is Israel wrong and what has that to do with USA ?

Why not ask why british empire gave land to jews. Brits actually brought jews there !

I'm not talking about what they want.

You are suggesting that I must visit Egypt to know the US has given them aid and that people in that country have gathered in pack mobs to shout "death to America, death to Israel?"

Think about that one, and get back to me. Good grief!

Bunch of loosers without work on the street I say ;)

The great majority of these people in all these muslim countries are exactly the same as us. Working and living, loving their family and friends.

And yes certainly personal experience would somehow enlighten you ;) Go to Egypt on your next vacation. Hardly you can choose better place to visit ;)

I don't know what they feed you over there in the media oversea in US but I guess probably with same crap as they feed us here in europe lately about US etc.

I still think that Europe and especially the brits and french are the ones to blame for majority of problems in the world. From poverty in Africa to middle east crisis.
And those bastards still act as they are some great powers .... strange huh ?

    Look allmighty brits :D http://www.spiegel.de/politik/ausland/0,1518,grossbild-921563-495061,00.html

I don't disagree with that, however, I've made no suggestion they are not.

I agree, I would love to visit there. If/when I go, I hope not to stay in a hotel targeted by extremists like happened a year or two ago.

Don't hear a lot about Egypt at all. So you may have a leg up on us there.

I appreciate you taking the time to share this with me. Though I cannot recall anything I've said to warrant it, none-the-less, it's a kind gesture.

You post is very kind. However, it does not discount my initial two points. That the US does in fact fund muslim countries who quite often have demonstrators shouting "death to America, death to Israel" and "death to whatever angers them for the day."

Everything you've posted has been very kind and I agree with much of it, but these two points are still valid.

There are many factors as mentioned in the previous posts but someone told me that the Americans also fear Israeli technology...remember the Israelis have turned a desert into fertile land!!!-

Maybe because the religion of peace shows unconditional hate for us, so we simply return the favor.

    Actually, you're wrong.
I was best friends with an Egyptian in middle and half of high school till I moved. By default, I also became friends with a shit load of Egyptians he knew in the next town over (Daytona).
Most of them fled Egypt because if you're not a muslim, like most muslim dominated countries, you're treated as a second class citizen. It's not a great place, it's not the worst of places, but it's not that nice either.

It goes both ways, I'm prepared to debate with you if your going to do it with an open mind and not just attack me unlike some people on here. If you like I can link you to a documentary on google video, where a UK journalist goes to Gaza and witnisses first hand, the terrorism from the IDF, knocking down houses, air strikes, running people over with tanks etc.
